Event Description:
Networking brings together potential new members, employers, and referrals and connects them with current members in a casual environment set in local Andersonville hangouts. Each month the Chamber provides light bites and host a Spotlight Professional. Each Spotlight Professional is a chamber member that offers something unique and dynamic to offer and will be giving a brief presentation for attendees. Then open networking continues afterwards.
February we are excited to host our Third Thursday Networking at Joel Berman Design!
Joel Berman is a local Andersonville hospitality architect and designer. He has a small boutique practice that conceives restaurants, bars, commercial and shared kitchens, breweries, and housing. Local projects include In Fine Spirits Wine Shop, The Coffee Studio, Big Jones, Revive Salon, and the turn-of-the-century firehouse turned video production studio at Rosemont and Clark. Joel also likes to sketch, ideating designs on napkings and documenting his travels. Joel uses 3D freehand drawing as a design tool.
Joel Berman Design-Located across from the Swedish American Museum, Berman Design kicked off the new year with a rebranded website featuring many projects located in Andersonville. Berman Design is a one-stop shop that helps businesses express their unique identity; with services including architecture, interior design, branding, logo development and marketing. February's Spotlight Professional is Shea Cerasi, 5/3 Bank Manager here in Andersonville. Shea Cerasi is the new Financial Center Manager III, AVP for Fifth Third Bank at their Andersonville location. Shea is a recent transplant to Chicago from Morgantown,WV. He has been in the banking industry for 11 years and has held various roles in the industry. Shea is the leader of the 5/3rd LGBT Business Resource Group, having led similar groups at his previous bank. He has a passion for helping small businesses succeed and grow. He has helped many businesses with their cash flow, payroll, card processing and growth needs. He is a 2007 graduate of West Virginia University with a B.A. in International Studies. Shea also was formerly the Chairman and Treasurer of Fairness WV, the states only equality organization.
