The Edgewater Chamber of Commerce will host its fifth annual Edgewater 5k Run / 1mi Walk, the only race course that includes Sheridan Road and the lakefront path! This fundraising event has raised $17,000 to both private and public schools located in the 48th Ward since 2014. The Edgewater 5k is open to the general public, local residents, students and parents alike so register and help give back to your community's schools and students. In addition to the 5k, this year the Edgewater Chamber added a special Kids’ Race for children ages 3-5 to also have the chance to join in on the fun after the 5k wraps up. Not to be missed, the popular Mascot Race is returning as part of the post race activities.
