FAIR TAX Webinar

Under our current system, millionaires and billionaires pay the same tax rate as front line workers like nurses and grocery store clerks. This places the burden on our middle and lower-income families, who are forced to pay nearly double the percent of their income in taxes than the wealthy. Illinois needs to update its tax system to the one employed by a majority of states and the federal government.

For the last several years, the Economic Justice Team at ONE Northside has fought tirelessly for the Fair Tax. Working together with organizations across Chicago and the state, we’ve finally gotten the Fair Tax on the ballot this November. Now, the Economic Justice Team plans to launch a Fair Tax campaign asking small business owners to pledge to vote "yes" for the Fair Tax in November. ONE Northside is hosting a webinar on September 24, 2020 at 9AM to provide more information about FAIR TAX and ask for your Pledge to Vote Yes on the Fair Tax this November.

If you are interested in providing additional support, ONE Northside’s asking small business owners to submit a photo and short testimonial detailing why they support the Fair Tax.
