Mindfulness-Based Stress-Reduction (MBSR) - an 8-week Class
Over 30 years of research originating at University of Massachusetts Medical School shows that training in mindfulness can positively impact:
– Mental focus and concentration
– Creativity and problem solving
– Emotion management, and
– Health and resiliency
In this class, we will learn and practice several forms of meditation, as well as integrate it into our daily lives. This is a closed group. Members must commit to the full 8-weeks and one full meditation retreat day (9am-4pm on Saturday, 11/23).
The retreat day, Saturday, November 23rd will be held from 9-4pm and is included in the cost for the course.
A formal mandatory orientation for paperwork and interviews is necessary. This orientation date is scheduled for Tuesday, October 8th - and will be scheduled with the instructor.
