The Andersonville Chamber of Commerce in Partnership with the Andersonville Sustainable Community Alliance and WasteNot Compost will be collecting take out plastic utensils at the remaining Andersonville Farmers Markets (Wednesdays, October 6-20,2021). We are collecting plasticware in an effort to mindfully remove plastics and encourage compostable utensils or an opt out method from take out. This will save businesses money, time, and reduce our footprint. We will except all plasticware, but only complete plastic wrapped utensils will be donated to A Just Harvest, an incredible organization that fights poverty and hunger in the Rogers Park and greater Chicago community by providing nutritious meals daily while cultivating community and economic development and organizing across racial, cultural and socioeconomic lines in order to create a more just society.
Please clean out that one kitchen drawer and drop off your plasticware at the WasteNot Compost booth on Wednesdays from 3-7PM at the Andersonville Farmers Market located at 1500 W. Catalpa.
