Christ\, Womxn Writers on Spiritual Quests is a three-month long twice-monthly exploration of the unique spiritual experience of womxn-identified people through a literary eye. \n\n\n\nWorks explored will include:\n\n"The Awakening" by Kate Chopin\n\n"Their Eyes Were Watching God" by Zora Neale Hurston\n\n"Surfacing" by Margaret Atwood\n\n\n\nWe meet every other Sunday at Women & Children First in Andersonville at 5:00p beginning August 4th\, running through the end of October. \n\n\n\nIf you cannot join\, please send Aiden your email address and you can receive notes on discussion and suggested readings to help you connect with the work. \n\n\n\n----------\n\n\n\nIf attendance is strong or interest to explore other texts is resounding\, we will explore continuing after October with some of the following texts:\n\n\n\n"for colored girls who have considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf" by Ntozake Shange\n\n\n\n"Diving Deep into the Wreck" and "The Dream of a Common Language" by Adrienne Rich\n\n\n\n"The Four-Gated City" by Doris Lessing\, last in the five-volume series The Children of Violence\n\n\n\n"Martha Quest" by Doris Lessing\, first the series\n\n\n\n?One Child of One?s Own? essay by Alice Walker\n\n\n\n"Becoming Woman: The Quest for Wholeness in Female Experience" essay by Penelope Washbourn\n\n\n\n"Feminist Studies in Religion and Literature" by Carol P.
