The International Chamber Artists (ICA) continues its 2017-18 season with a special “pärty” commemorating the Leonard Bernstein centennial, as well as contemporary American composers, and an iconic work by Arvo Pärt. Join us at a performance on Sunday, April 15 at 4 PM at St. Gregory the Great Church. ICA opens the program with Arvo Pärt’s serene and contemplative Spiegel im Spiegel for cello and piano, followed by Leonard Bernstein's magnificent Piano Trio, in celebration of the composer's centennial. Frank Proto celebrates American musicians in his Trio for Violin, Viola, and Bass. Rounding out ICA’s “pärty” is ?American composer Libby Larsen’s jazzy Four on the Floor, a boisterous work inspired by boogie-woogie, driving at breakneck speed. Performing Artists Sang Mee Lee, violin Rose Armburst Griffin, viola Jocelyn Butler, cello Jeremy Attanaseo, double bass Patrick Godon, piano Following each ICA concert, audience members are invited to mingle and join the performers at a buffet dinner hosted by Ranalli’s of Andersonville ($15 including soft drinks and tip).
