About Us

Once upon a time there was a little girl who liked to play store & school and read Green Eggs and Ham. She liked to play barbies and build forts. She asked for an Easy Bake Oven for Christmas almost every year. Then she grew up, went to college, and got a job at a bank. But that makes for a boring story. So, one day she heard that a toy company was hiring and that, my friends, that is where the journey to *play began.

*play combines more than 20 years of toy industry experience, a love for community, a reverence for childhood, and a passion for the importance of play in a child's life ~ all wrapped up in a well-designed space that inspires awe in children and adults. Our vision is a community-minded shop for the entire family. Our mission is to make life more playful. Our passion is *play.
